CITYPARK Bag Policy

CITYPARK is home to the Major League Soccer Club, St. Louis CITY SC, at 2100 Market St, St. Louis, MO 63103. The bag policy at CITYPARK for a soccer game or another event is that clear bags that are not larger than 14″ x 14″ x 6″ can enter. Also, medical and diaper bags are exceptions if guests need to bring them into the venue.

More professional sports venues are adopting a clear single-compartment bag policy, so getting one now is a good idea so you can bring it to other places. Below are some bag types that fans can bring into CITYPARK for a soccer game or event.

 

• A clear single-compartment bag that don’t exceed 14″ x 14″ x 6″
• A clear zip lock bag
• Medical bags
• A clear fanny pack
• Any ADA-Compliant bag
• Small wallets and purses

 

My Clear Bag Recommendation + My Experience

From my experience, I’ve never had an issue getting my clear fanny pack into any venue. Since the bag is clear, it passes the clear bag policy that CITYPARK has in place. Second, my clear fanny pack is 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″, which makes it a lot smaller than the max size the venue permits. Third, I bring this type of bags to games because it is small, easy to wear, and not bulky.

How Does CITYPARK Staff Review Your Bag?

Fans going to CITYPARK for any event will pass through a metal detector before scanning their ticket for access to the stadium. Any fan that has a bag with them will have that inspected by the security staff before they can scan their ticket to gain entry for a soccer game. The security staff at CITYPARK inspects the outside and inside of the bag, making sure the items don’t violate their prohibited item guidelines. Assuming there are no zero issues with your bag, the security team will return it so you can bring it inside the stadium.

 

What Items Can’t You Bring into CITYPARK?

Fans attending CITYPARK for an MLS game or another event must familiarize themselves with the list of prohibited items. Below are some items that can’t enter the stadium under any circumstance. Check out the complete list from St. Louis CITY SC to get the full list of prohibited items.

 

• Any non-clear-bag that is bigger than 5″ x 7″ x 2″
• Any clear bag that is larger than 14″ x 14″ x 6″
• Weapons of any kind
• Outside food and beverages (As a note, the security staff at the gates can make exceptions at the entrance if the fan needs to bring in something for medical reasons)
• Flag poles
• Laser pointers
• Coolers
• Any animal not for ADA use

 

What Should You Do If Your Bag Is Too Big to Enter CITYPARK?

If your bag fails the bag inspection at CITYPARK and you can’t bring it in with you to the game, you should see if a nearby hotel or bar will hold onto your stuff. Since the stadium is in downtown St. Louis, you will find plenty of bars and hotels within walking distance of the MLS venue. Most bars and hotels charge a small fee to watch your belongings when you need them to hold onto your stuff when you go to a game.
