- ADA compliant bags
- Medical bags
- Clear bags (vinyl, PVC, clear plastic) that don’t exceed 12″ x 12″ x 6″
- One-gallon clear Ziplock bags

- Non-clear bags that don’t exceed 9″ x 5″ x 2″ in size. These bags are things like small clutches, wallets, etc.
My Bag Recommendation
I’ve brought my clear fanny pack into stadiums for the past few years. The fanny pack is 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″, so it is much smaller than the allowed size that most venues have today. I always recommend a clear fanny pack for fans because it is not big, it is clear, and it is easy to wear as you walk around the stadium. From my experience, I’ve never had an issue getting that bag through any security check at a stadium that allows clear bags.
My Clear Bag Recommendation for Stadiums
When I go to different stadiums and need to bring a bag, I tend to opt for my clear fanny pack for a few reasons. First, most venues have a clear bag policy in place that is 12″ x 12″ x 12″. Therefore, the only bag that you can bring inside the stadium needs to be clear. Second, I tend to bring a few things to the game to help me record the food, parking situation, and bag policy at the stadium. Since I’m bringing a few things to the game, I need one place to store everything, so I don’t have many things in my pocket. Third, wearing a fanny pack isn’t very big, so it doesn’t take up much space for me as I walk around the stadium. The clear fanny pack that I got for stadium is from Amazon and it cost around $14 when I got it.

How Does the American Family Fields of Phoenix Staff Review Bags?
There are two lines at the entrance for fans to check in for a game. One line is for fans who don’t have a bag, while the second is for fans with a bag. All fans will go through a metal detector screening, but the lane for fans with a bag will go through an additional security screening. The stadium staff will review the bag and the content inside, and they have the right to turn away any bag at the gate based on their inspection.
What Items Can’t You Bring into the Spring Training Ballpark?
Fans heading to the ballpark for a spring training game should be aware that certain items can’t come inside the venue with them. Some of those items that can’t go into the stadium are below.
- Clear bags that are larger than 12″ x 12″ x 6″
- Any non-clear bag larger than 9″ x 5″ x 2″ (laptop bags, computer bags, luggage, briefcases, etc.)
- Weapons
- Drugs
What Should You Do If Your Bag Is Too Big to Enter the Venue?
If your bag can’t come into the venue with you, then you should plan on bringing that back to your car and leaving it in there. This may be your best option if you drive directly to the venue and have a vehicle to leave your bag.
Also, there are no hotels within walking distance of the venue, so you won’t be able to leave the bag there if it can’t come inside the venue with you.
