Caesars Superdome (previously the Mercedes-Benz Superdome) is the home of the New Orleans NFL team in downtown New Orleans, Louisiana. The Superdome, out in the Central Business District, sits out on 1500 Sugar Bowl Dr, New Orleans, LA 70112. The venue is a popular attraction for playoff and Superbowl games too, so many classic matches happen here each year.

Parking Options Around the Stadium

There are official parking garages that surround Caesars Superdome for fans to use. Pricing for these parking options will vary depending on the event you are going to. You can visit the team’s official parking page for a map of the parking options.

My Recommendation on Parking + Experience with SpotHero

From my experience, I’ve had nothing but great experiences using SpotHero to find cheaper parking for games. SpotHero has unofficial parking options for fans to purchase within walking distance of the venue. While I have never used SpotHero outside of Caesars Superdome, I have used it for other games and cities I travel to. I recommend that fans look at the parking rates on SpotHero to see if they can find cheaper parking outside the main stadium if they want to save money and are okay with walking a block or two from the venue.

 

However, the only downside to these parking options is that you tend to be further away from the stadium. Consider that if you are going with your family to the game as that block or two walk can factor in if you want to save money on parking.

 

Mercedes-Benz Superdome Handicap Parking

There are ADA parking spaces available on the top and bottom levels of official parking garages at the venue. Saints fans will need to show a valid parking pass and state-issue license plate to leave their vehicle in the parking lots. ADA parking is at a first come and first serve basis, so plan to arrive early. Finally, fans can use SpotHero above to secure ADA parking spaces before heading to the arena.

 

Can you Tailgate at the Stadium?

There is no tailgating in the parking lots at the stadium, but many fans head to Champions Square to party. Champions Square offers music and festivities before each game. In addition to Champions Square, many fans venture out to the bars near the stadium. Some bars near the venue include Cookies and Cocktails, Dave and Busters, Vintage Rock Club, and Mardi Gras Lounge.

Should I Take Public Transportation?

Fans looking to take public transportation on game day can use the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority. There is a public transportation stop for bus routes 84 and 16 that sits across from the venue.

 

In addition to using the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority, many fans use Uber and Lyft to get to and from the arena.
