BC Place is home to the Vancouver Whitecaps FC (Major League Soccer) and BC Lions (Canadian Football League) teams. The soccer stadium sits at 777 Pacific Boulevard, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. One interesting note about the venue is that the original roof was air-supported, but after the 2010 Winter Olympics, the venue now has a retractable roof with cables.
Here are the BC Place parking tips to be familiar with when driving to the venue.
Parking Near BC Place
Plenty of parking lots surround BC Place in downtown Vancouver for fans to take advantage of when driving to the game. Parking rates will vary depending on how far you want to park from the venue, but the range typically goes from $10-30, as of 2023. The general rule of thumb is that the further you park from the stadium, the less you will pay. Visit the official parking map of BC Place to see where each of these parking lots are located.
Also, if you arrive early enough to the venue, fans can find street parking on the road near the stadium. However, read the signs to ensure you can leave your car on the road so you won’t receive a parking ticket.
BC Place Handicap Parking
According to BCplace.com, there are a few ADA-accessible parking spots around the venue for fans on game day, so plan to arrive early to secure a spot. With a limited number of ADA spots, fans are encouraged to take advantage of the pickup and drop-off area on Pacific Boulevard next to Gate F. Also, fans can bring certified service dogs to the venue if they need that additional assistance.
Is there Tailgating in the Parking Lots?
There is no tailgating in the public parking lots or parking garages at BC Place, but there are plenty of bars around the stadium to check out before kickoff. Some popular bars and restaurants to check out before kickoff or after a game include BC Kitchen, District Bar Restaurant, and Homer St Cafe and Bar.
Be sure to visit the BC Place Food guide to see what you can get at arena. Also, read the BC Place Bag Policy page to see what bags can enter the stadium with fans.
Can You Take Public Transportation to the Venue?
There are numerous ways fans can get to BC Place for a game or event via public transportation. Spectators can use Skytrain, the bus, and rideshare programs like Uber and Lyft to the stadium. When taking Skytrain, fans can get off at the Stadium-Chinatown station, which sits next to Rogers Arena and BC Place. For taking the bus, take routes #15 and #17, which will have a drop-off section close to the venue.
